How Our Flat-Rate Pricing Works

Era Service uses a flat-rate pricing model rather than hourly billing. Here's what that means for you:

Diagnostic service call. When a technician visits your home, a diagnostic fee covers the inspection and quote. This fee is fully waived the moment you approve the repair, so if you move forward, you pay nothing extra for the diagnosis.

Flat-rate repair quote. After diagnosis, you receive a single all-in price: parts and labor. The quote is based on standardized repair pricing, not on how long the job happens to take. A refrigerator fan motor replacement is the same price whether the technician finishes in 45 minutes or 90 minutes.

New-customer offer. First-time Era Service customers receive 5% off labor. Mention this offer when you book.

No repair, no charge. If the appliance is beyond economical repair, we'll tell you honestly, and if you decline the repair, you only pay the standard diagnostic fee. We never pressure a repair that doesn't make financial sense for you.

No. The diagnostic fee is waived when you approve the repair. You receive a written flat-rate quote before any work begins, no hidden charges, no hourly surprises. If you decline the repair you only pay the standard diagnostic fee.

Our vans carry a large inventory of common OEM parts for the brands and appliance types we see most often. If a specialty part is needed, we order it directly from the manufacturer and schedule a follow-up visit, typically within 1 to 2 business days. We'll keep you informed throughout.

The 90-day warranty covers both the parts installed and the labor for the specific repair performed. If the same problem recurs within 90 days of the service date, we return and fix it at no additional charge, parts and labor both included.
